We do not send reminders of when payments are due as the dates are shown in the confirmation.

Parking
Our priority is to ensure your holiday is as enjoyable and trouble-free as it could possibly be and we are happy for you to park outside your cottage to unpack or during unfortunate times of foul weather, however for all other times we would be very grateful if you could park in the car park by the Alpaca paddock.  During school holidays we will have children playing and would like to keep cars to a minimum for everyone’s enjoyment and safety.

Should you need to leave your car outside your cottage for the duration of your holiday please advise. Vehicles and contents are parked entirely at the owner’s risk.

Pets and our ‘Petiquette’

We welcome 1 dog in Pond View Cottage and 1 dog in The Old Watch House.

We can no longer accept dogs in The Garden Room or The Manor Farmhouse.

We are unable to accept dogs under 12 months old.

A supplement of £100 per dog per stay applies with £50 returnable if the following wishes are followed:

  • Please do not allow your dog on the furniture or upstairs, especially into bedrooms  – in cases where a more thorough clean is required due to hairy or dirty furniture or bed linen, we will advise you of this along with the associated cleaning, laundry and/or item replacement costs.
  • Please do bring a crate if your dog has one.
  • Please clean up after your dog.
  • Please keep your dog on a lead at all times if holidaying at Penventinue Manor Farm –  there is a fenced garden to allow your dog off the lead to run around and exercise itself.
  • Please do not leave your dog alone in the cottage at any time

Pond View Cottage has a stairgate at the top of the stairs – please keep this closed.

We have fields and the Saints Way walk on our doorstep.  Par Beach is only 3 miles away and is an all year round dog friendly beach.

Linen

We provide all bed linen and beds will be made up for you. Our duvets & pillows are Microfibre (man- made alternative to Goose Down.  100% cotton case.  Hand sewn fine woven casing is impenetrable to dust mites).   Bathroom towels are included.  Please bring beach towels should these be required.

If you are staying for longer than 1 week and would like fresh bed linen and towels please advise on arrival.  The supplement charge for this starts from £40.00.

Log Burners & Open Fires
Wild Thyme Barn, Blackberry and Pond View have log burning stoves in the living room.  The Manor Farmhouse has open fires in both reception rooms.

During the months of October to April as part of the welcome pack, we provide 1 box of logs, kindling, firelighters and matches for your log burning stove.  You can purchase additional boxes of logs from us for £6.00.  If you would like to pre-order any to be available on arrival, please advise.    Outside these months you are very welcome to use the log burner.  When purchasing logs from a shop please ensure they are kiln dried – as any other type of log creates moisture within the chimney which quickly creates soot, then smoke and this will eventually clog the chimney.

Ponds & Grounds
We have 5 acres of lawns and gardens for you to enjoy with garden furniture placed around for you to sit at and absorb the tranquil surroundings and Wildlife.   Within the gardens, a good distance from the cottages, we have 2 ponds and for safety reasons non swimmers and children are to be accompanied.

The Chicken & Duck houses are located behind the Manor Farmhouse; the chickens venture out and around the gardens and will arrive at your cottage at some point during the day.  We have a large vegetable patch and seasonal vegetables will be available for you, with our compliments.  Please ask Julie or Alex which vegetables are in stock/season and they will gladly collect some for you.

A large herb garden is located centrally to the cottages and is also for you to enjoy with our compliments.  Pond View Cottage has its own herb garden.  Please help yourselves.

Smoking
All of our cottages are strictly non-smoking.
