Our Gardens and Grounds
The converted farmhouse and barns at Penventinue Manor Farm are surrounded by 5 acres of gardens and grounds for our guests and their dogs to enjoy. We can just about see the sea from here too.
The beautiful self catering cottages are in a semi rural location which makes it quiet and private here and as a result we are visited by lots of beautiful wildlife. There are two pretty ponds which are home to a variety of fish, wildlife, resident wild Ducks, Moorhens and a huge Heron.
On the doorstep is the South West Coast Path which leads to the famous Saints Way so it is a great base for anyone who enjoys a walk with spectacular scenery. The coastal path walk to Golant and the Fishermans Arms pub is worth a visit.
Have a look at our Map and Location page for further details on this and events taking place in the area.
There is a large vegetable patch with a selection of fruits, vegetables & potatoes plus a large herb patch which guests can help themselves to.
The holiday cottages were once a Dexter farm owned by our local butcher Mr Kittow. He and his family run Kittows butchers and delicatessen in Fowey which we highly recommend. They do a great BBQ pack which they will deliver.
You can view some of the old photographs here which were kindly sent to us by the previous owners of Penventinue Manor Farm. There is so much history to these cottages and grounds. Its is a privilege to be able to play a small part in taking care of the grounds and maintaining the beautiful old Farmhouse and converted barns.
